Will My Vent Work? - Hoodsly

With an extended depth to 19.3125″ or deeper and a solid bottom added, this unit will work with the boxed style hoods only.

The Best model inserts are an excellent fit for all of our hood styles. Once you match the width of your insert to the corresponding hood width (30″ insert works with the 30″ wide hood), the depth of the hood needs to be modified to 19.3125″, which is available under Size Modification on the product pages. You do not need to add a solid bottom. There may be some light sanding needed on the depth as the dimension is the exact same as our inside opening.

Please note: A 22.5″ Depth Increase is needed for the 48″ CP37 Series.

The Faber models will work with our hood styles, but will require an extended depth of 20.5″ inside opening. NOTE that this insert will mount below the opening of the hood as the depth and width exceed our available inside opening. The insert will show under the hood, but the internal components will fit. Extending the depth more will not allow the insert to mount inside the hood as the width will not work.

These models are not compatible with our wood hoods.

The GE model inserts are an excellent fit for our hood styles. Once you match the width of your insert to the corresponding hood width (30″ insert works with the 30″ wide hood), the depth of the hood needs to be modified to 19.3125″, which is available under Size Modification on the product pages. Due to the shape of the Thermador ventilation, the model is not a good fit for all of our hood models. In order for it to work with select models, you will need to select an extended depth to 22.5″, which will leave a .5″ gap between the liner and the inside opening of the hood. This can be covered utilizing a filler (not provided by us) or by adding a solid bottom on our product page.

In order for these models to work with our hoods, it requires a custom hood depth of 22.625″. Please contact Hoodsly customer service at (877) 847-0405 for a custom invoice. We will customize the depth to match the insert.

For select styles, this unit will work with a modified depth of 19.3125″ and a solid bottom. Both of these modifications are available on our product pages under the Advanced Customizations.

This unit will work with all hood styles with a solid bottom added on the product page, however, for curved and sloped styles, it will need to be mounted toward the back of the hood. For tapered and box styles, it can be mounted in the center of the solid bottom.

This unit will work with only our boxed hood style with a solid bottom added.

The Zephyr model inserts are an excellent fit for all of our hood styles. Once you match the width of your insert to the corresponding hood width (30″ insert works with the 30″ wide hood), the depth of the hood needs to be modified to 19.3125″, which is available under Size Modification on the product pages. You do not need to add a solid bottom.

The Monsoon Mini will work with the 30″ and 36″ wide hood of all styles. Because the unit is 1/16 thicker than our standard inside opening, you can sand the 1/16″ out of the inside of the hood, which is a lot of sanding. If you prefer to increase the depth, you can select any depth size and add a solid bottom to close the gap in depth for the hood.

In order for the Zline models to fit, we supply a Zline Modification Kit that is easily installed at the time of installation. This mod-kit is only supplied when the Zline is purchased from us. These models are an excellent fit for each of our hood styles without a modification to the depth or solid bottom.

The 15″ depth of Zline is not an ideal fit for our hoods, as it requires either a solid bottom or a 3″ filler to be installed. The units will not work with our curved or sloped models due to the internal structure of our hoods.
